Marian Rivera Gives Us a Sneak Peek Into her ‘Balota’ Shoot
MARIAN RIVERA – Actress and entrepreneur Marian Rivera shared a sneak peek into the set of her new movie ‘Balota.’
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera is set to star in the upcoming Cinemalaya 2024 entry “Balota,” co-produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Entertainment Group, in collaboration with Cinemalaya.
In an earlier interview, the 39-year-old celebrity revealed that she opted not to use a stunt double for the film, resulting in several bruises. This film also features a deglamorized Marian, who mentioned that she didn’t use any cosmetics during filming.
In a recent interview, Marian stated that she experienced many firsts as an actress while working on this film. She had to deliver lines that were very different from her previous roles.
Director Kip Oebanda shared that they used an authentic ballot box from 2007 in their production. “It was made of steel and weighed six kilos with the ballots inside. We had a rubber version made, but she didn’t want to use that,” he explained.
The steel ballot box was attached to Marian’s waist, and during the running scenes, it kept hitting her, causing bruises.
Marian posted a video on Facebook showing some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film, where she plays the role of Emmy, a teacher. The video also provides a glimpse of her deglamorized look.
“Pasilip muna sa set namin sa Balota,” she wrote in the post.
