TITO MARS – Controversial social media personality Tito Mars gave a tour of his childhood home, showcasing the house where he was raised by his grandparents.
In May, Tito Mars sparked major controversy with his eating challenge videos, especially due to his apparent dislike for sardines and shrimp paste. Many netizens accused him of showing disrespect towards budget-friendly meals.
Recently, the vlogger responded to the criticism, clarifying that he did not intend to insult the food of the less fortunate and emphasizing that he considers himself part of that community.
Tito Mars revealed that he too had experienced poverty and had no reason to demean the food of those who are less fortunate. He stated, “Kasi ho ang pagkakaintindi nila, ay binabastos ko ho ‘yong pagkain ng mga mahihirap. Unang-una ho, hindi ho ako mayaman. Mahirap lang din ho ako. So bakit ko kailangang bastusin ‘yong pagkain ng mga mahihirap?”
He further stressed that he would be the first to suffer if he disrespected the food of the less fortunate and kindly advised viewers not to watch his videos if they found them offensive.
Recently, the social media personality shared a house tour of his grandparents’ home where he grew up. Despite the sophistication he displays in his content, the vlogger admitted that they were not wealthy.
In a video posted on his Facebook, Mars showed every corner of his grandparents’ simple house. The old furniture and modest lifestyle he grew up with were evident. During their conversation, his grandmother mentioned that Tito Mars would eat sardines as long as they were cooked.
This house tour gave Mars’ followers a new perspective on his real life.
