Pantone Picks Peach Fuzz as Color of the Year for 2024
PEACH FUZZ – American limited liability company Pantone has chosen the color as the official 2024 hue signifying a beautiful meaning.
Are you one of the people who look forward to the color pick of Pantone every end of the year? The said entity is an American limited liability company that has started choosing a color of the year more than two (2) years ago. Prior to the pick for 2024, it had the Viva Magenta as the 2023 color of the year.
For the 2024 color of the year, Pantone picked Peach Fuzz which depict a light, delicate shade between orange and pink. It is the company’s choice for its 25th year of choosing a color of the year.
According to Pantone Color Institute Vice President Laurie Pressman to House Beautiful, the color depicts the desire “to be close to those who we love and the joy we get when allowing ourselves to tune into who we are and savor that moment of quiet time”.
Peach Fuzz is said to be an evolution of the Viva Magenta as the color company believes that, over the past years, the people have learned to know their priorities and enjoy time with loved ones. Aside from quality time, the 2024 color of the year also signifies touch.
According to Pantone Color Institute executive director Leatrice Eiseman, it was a careful selection in picking for the name of the hue “because it’s the tactile aspect of the color” which the company deems very important as well as the color’s vision.
Pantone stated that the hue welcomes ease and the sense of security. It also shows the people’s longing for the past, delight in the present, and hope for the future. It was meant to show a contemporary ambiance that smoothly brings a person to the future and it can be used in a lot of pieces at home.
In fact, the color company has worked with brands like the Ruggable and the Spoonflower to bring the color into pieces of stuff. Are you up for a home make-over?
