GLADYS REYES – The “Black Rider” said that separation is not an option for her and her husband Christopher Roxas.
In an interview on the latest episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas”, she said that there’s no handbook for a happy and long-lasting relationships because it’s a “case to case basis”. However, she shared that her marriage with her husband is anchored in faith, respect, and patience.
“Faith namin is a big factor because alam mo ‘yung iba yung may takot, ‘di ba? May takot ka na masira ‘yung family, na masira ‘yung relationship,” Gladys Reyes said in an interview with Nelson Canlas. “Hindi option dapat ang hiwalayan. Never magiging option ‘yan.”

GLADYS REYES – The “Black Rider” actress recently shared how she confirmed that she had alopecia.
The actress currently stars in the Kapuso series “Black Rider”. She is the celebrity guest in the latest “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast episode where she opened up about having an alopecia.
In an interview with podcast host Nelson Canlas, the actress shared that she had alopecia and one of the main causes of her condition is when her father passed away in 2021.
According to her, it’s hard for her and their family to accept their father’s passing and they even question themselves on what went wrong and how they took care of their father.
The actress went on to address the podcast listeners, telling them to make sure to spoil their parents whenever they can. She also said that life is “not just short but unpredictable”.
Gladys then admitted that she was so organized and composed when the hospital called them, letting their family know that her father had gone into a coma. She also shared that she was taping a sitcom during her father’s wake.
The actress revealed that she thought she was alright and she had accepted her father’s passing. However, she shared she realized that she needed to grieve.
According to her, she would cry when she was showering during a staycation and she found a large bald spot on her head while brushing her hair. She then confirmed at the time that she has alopecia.
Gladys also shared that a hairstylist saw the bald spot during her salon session with her mother and sister, adding that the condition could sometimes be caused by stress.
“Doon pala, doon nag-manifest ‘yun lahat ng stress ko pala, ‘yung palang ano ko, ‘yung hindi ko inilalabas na iyak, ‘yung hindi ko inilalabas, di ba, ‘yung stress ko, nag-manifest sa aking buhok, sa aking ulo,” she said. “Wala akong kaalam-alam, may gano’n na pala nangyayari sa katawan ko, di ba? Kasi hindi ko, kasi tina-try ko lampasan ‘yung sakit, ano. Tinatry kong hindi iiyak, hindi i-grieve.”
It was last January 2018 when Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas, who got married in 2004, renewed their vows in time for their 25th anniversary as a couple. The celebrity couple celebrated their 30th anniversary last January 2023.
