Here’s what you can do if your Maya account was put on hold or declined
MAYA ACCOUNT – This article will teach you what you can do if your account was put on hold or was declined.
Maya Philippines was formerly known as Paymaya, It’s an all-in-one app that combines a feature-rich digital wallet and a secure, progressive digital banking experience.
With this app, you can grow, spend, invest, save, and master your money. But what if your account was put on hold or was declined?
Maya uses its enhanced security measures in order to help protect your Maya account.
You need to send the following to the email address that Maya sent to you through SMS if your account has been put on hold: a selfie while holding a valid government-issued ID and a proof of your source of funds.
In addition, you need to provide an answer to the following: your reason for opening an account; a list of your sources of funds; your reason for changing the mobile number registered to your Maya account; and a list of all your recent transactions with Maya — including the purpose of each one and your relationship with the recipient or sender.
You can present one of the following valid government-issued IDs: Philippine Passport, Driver’s License, NBI Clearance, PRC ID, Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID), or a postal ID with QR.
When taking a selfie, you need to take a photo in a well-lit room, select the highest photo quality on your mobile device before taking a selfie, hold up your ID next to your face, make sure that both your ID and your face are clear in the picture, and don’t wear any masks, glasses, or other accessories that obscure your face.
You need to email those requirements with the subject “Account Confirmation – Your Full Name”. Maya will then give you an update once Maya receives your email.
