LIZABETH YUMPING – The wife of late broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez revealed his last message to her before he passed away.

In an interview on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho”, she said that her husband told her not to cry when he’s gone but she told him that she couldn’t promise him that.

‘Yun lang, ‘yun lang ang bilin niya. Huwag daw ako iiyak. Sabi ko, I’m sorry but I cannot promise you that. ‘Yun lang ang bilin niya sa akin,” she said in an interview with Jessica Soho.

LIZABETH YUMPING – The wife of late broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez recently revealed the final moments of his life.

Mike Enriquez’s wife appeared in the latest episode of “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” where she shared how her husband fought for his life.

Lizabeth, also known as “Baby”, said in an interview with Jessica Soho that her husband’s death “hasn’t sunk in yet”. She also said that her husband has been through a lot, and that the only thing that consoles her is that he’s no longer in pain.

It can be recalled that the veteran broadcast journalist underwent kidney transplant last December 2021.

Baby told Jessica that Mike was doing well after the kidney transplant, but he encountered pneumonia. She also said that the doctors had difficulty arresting the infection because of the anti-rejection medicine at that time.

She also revealed that her husband passed away while he’s undergoing dialysis.

Baby shared that Mike’s blood pressure dropped and suddenly his heart stopped. According to her, she was on her way to the hospital when her husband’s caregiver texted her, “Ma’am, Sir Mike is being resuscitated already.’

She said that the doctors already tried to revive her husband three times when she told the doctor, “‘Doc, tama na, enough na.’

Baby also recalled that she kept on telling her husband that he can do it and not to give up. But after seeing her husband struggling, she whispered to him, “Sige, Mike. I’ll be fine. I’ll be fine. I know God will not forsake me. Kung pagod ka na, you rest na. And I love you.

She also shared that after several minutes, the doctor approached her and told her, “Babes, nag-flat line na.

The veteran broadcast journalist passed away at the age of 71. He was laid to rest at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
