“Hindi ko naman na-influence yung bata. Hilig lang niya talaga. It’s in him and yung mga sinasalihan niya in the beginning when he was 18, he tried drag racing sanctioned events,” he said about his son. “So he was enjoying it. I didn’t expect na magugustuhan niya all throughout.”
Jomari added that having a talent in motorsport racing is a “special gift” given to his son and so it’s their responsibility as parents to nourish and develop that talent.
Just like any parent, the actor-politician admitted that it was only natural for him and his ex-wife to be concerned for their whenever he competes. But Jomari makes sure to guide Andre towards becoming a professional and safe driver.
With the Philippines’ biggest motorsport event currently ongoing in Okada Manila until August 6, 2023, the actor-politician shared how excited he is to watch his son Andre compete.
