Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero’s daughter Rocket has undergone stem cell therapy for autism.
AUBREY MILES AND TROY MONTERO – The couple’s daughter Rocket has undergone stem cell therapy for autism spectrum disorder.
It was in April last year when the couple revealed that their daughter Rocket was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The two have been sharing updates on Rocket’s progress on social media.
The couple released a vlog on their YouTube channel where they shared the procedure and also educated their followers about stem cell as a possible treatment for autism.
Aubrey said in the video that she and her husband thought that stem cell therapy is only for anti-aging or joint issues. However, she said that they eventually learned that stem cell therapy is a treatment that is considered for younger children.
According to Troy, doctors said their daughter Rocket was a “perfect candidate” for stem cell therapy as she’s at the right age.
“So Rocket’s four-years-old and her brain is still developing so that way the stem cell will enter the brain and be able to make those connections that are lacking in her brain right now,” Troy said.
Troy added that certain parts of Rocket’s brain are not “talking” to the rest of the organ, such as the parts that control her speech, behavior, and learning. The two then took their daughter to EW Villa Medica in Pasay City for the procedure.

Aubrey and Troy’s daughter Rocket was first given anesthesia and she was hooked into an IV. Rocket was sedated before the stem cell was injected into her body. The said procedure took 30 – 45 minutes.
Rocket was then taken inside a hyperbaric chamber for an hour after the procedure.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, according to Mayo Clinic, is a treatment that involves breathing “pure oxygen in a pressurized environment” and the oxygen helps the release of growth factors and stem cells for healing.
The actress revealed that this is Rocket’s third hyperbaric session, adding that they’re already seeing improvement. However, she said that they will continue with the rest of her therapy in order to cover all bases.
