Undeniably, poverty remains as one of the top culprits why a lot of Filipinos were unable to finish their studies. Many people share a common sentiment that they can hardly eat thrice daily making education not anymore a priority in their household.
However, another truth also remains that education can greatly help uplift one’s financial status. You can be employed to a good-paying company and take not only yourself but as well as your family out of poverty.
There are Filipinos who really strived to finish their studies and they did it with the help of scholarships. One of the benefactors is the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
There are requirements for CHED scholarship application — both eligibility and documentary requirements. To qualify for the scholarship offers, you must be:

- For Half-SSP and Half-PESPA, GWA must be 93% but not more than 95%.
- Must have a combined annual gross income of parents/guardian which does not exceed Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP 400,000), or in cases where the income exceeds PhP 400,000 an applicant must present written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college;
- Avail of only one government-funded financial assistance program.
For the documentary requirements for CHED scholarship application, prepare the following:
