Michelle Dee: “The next chapter of my pageant journey is no longer my own.”
MICHELLE DEE – The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder spoke about representing the country at the international beauty competition.
The beauty queen was previously crowned Miss World Philippines back in 2019. She also joined the Miss Universe Philippines in 2022 and finished just behind Miss Universe Philippines 2022 titleholder Celeste Cortesi.
Michelle has been crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and will represent the country at the international beauty pageant in El Salvador later this year.
The actress and beauty queen posted a series of photos on her social media account and also expressed her gratitude to the people who supported her through her pageant journey.
In the caption of her social media post, she said that “It’s not done until it’s won” has been her mindset coming into the beauty pageant.
“No matter how it looks, it was never and it never got easier to prepare for each time I would compete,” she said. “Each year was full of hard work, sacrifices and risks that I hope pay off at the end.”
She also said that she didn’t win the Miss Universe Philippines crown alone as she expressed her gratitude to those who supported her through her pageant journey.
Michelle first thanked her team for believing in her and for also helping her turn her dreams into reality. She also expressed her gratitude to her family and friends for supporting her through “all the ups and downs that come with this crazy and amazing ride” and for giving her the strength to keep going.
The beauty queen went on to thank the Miss Universe Philippines Organization for trusting her to represent the country on the international stage, adding that all the efforts and hard work she did to win the crown will not stop there.
Michelle also expressed her gratitude to her supporters for cheering her on through her pageant journey. She added that their support is what pushes her to keep going when the going gets tough.
“The next chapter of my pageant journey is no longer my own. It’s for each Filipino that I will be representing in El Salvador,” she said.
