Michelle Dee: “Miss Universe is the most bardagulan pageant, in my opinion.”
MICHELLE DEE – The beauty queen recently shared that Miss Universe, in her opinion, is the “most bardagulan pageant”.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder appeared on Monday’s episode of Kapuso morning show “Unang Hirit” where she shared how intense her preparation was for the beauty competition.
Michelle shared in an interview that approaching the beauty competition, she was running on “1-2 hours of sleep every day”. She also said that in her opinion, Miss Universe is the “most bardagulan pageant”.
According to the beauty queen, dedicating her time to training was of utmost importance.
“Miss Universe is the most bardagulan pageant, in my opinion,” she said. “You have to dedicate time, not just for the pasarela, which was the walk, but your styling, your Q&A — the Q&A is what I worked on the most.“
Michelle also said that she was up at 4am on coronation day and asked her team to continue training her for the Q&A and she kept answering questions the whole day until her makeup was finished at that time.
She added that she wanted her mind “in the right place”.
The beauty queen went on to share that she was fighting for her life, shooting a TV series, and taking care of her two autistic siblings in the past few months.

She also realized that this year would be her last chance at the crown. According to the beauty queen, she’s at the age limit and she’s going to regret it if she didn’t join the beauty pageant.
On coronation day, Michelle said that things felt different as there’s calmness that night and she wasn’t intimidated nor pressured at that time.
“Iba talaga yung energy. May calmness that night. I wasn’t intimidated, I wasn’t pressured. I was in the moment talaga,” the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder said. “Everything aligned.“
Michelle Dee will represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador later this year.
