Michelle Dee on bashers: “It’s honestly inevitable because …”
MICHELLE DEE – The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder said that bashers are “inevitable” in beauty competitions.
The beauty queen has been crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and will represent the Philippines at the international beauty contest in El Salvador later this year.
Michelle appeared on Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where she shared about her take on people bashing her online.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Michelle said that bashers are “inevitable” as fans come in there to support their bets and “come there thinking that their rage, their anger can change results, but it can’t”.
“It’s honestly inevitable because fans come in there supporting their bets, they come in there thinking that their rage or anger can change results, but it can’t,” Michelle said.

The beauty queen also said that she encouraged the public to spread love and to be kind instead of bashing.
She also looked back on what happened during the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and what she did in order to stay calm and focused on her performance at that time.
According to her, letting chaos get into her head is one of the things that “sabotaged” her performance last year.
“Tito Boy it was so crazy like there were production people screaming, ‘Five minutes to go,’ girls were still dressing up going back and forth from the glam room to the standby area,” Michelle said. “You know one of the things that actually for lack of a better term ‘sabotaged’ my performance last year is I let that chaos get into my head.”
Due to her previous experience, the beauty queen said that she didn’t allow anything to enter her head during the coronation night this year as she pushed herself to remain focused and calm.
