Among the questions she answered in the said episode is about the greatest lessons she learned “the hard way”. In response, she mentioned three greatest lessons she learned in her 20s.

1. Money doesn’t come easy, and you should not be spontaneous about it.

Joyce Pring revealed that she was once a “spontaneous spender” and also an impulsive buyer”. The podcast host also admitted that she didn’t use credit card as a mode of payment at that time.

I was once a spontaneous spender. Hindi naman big things, pero pag trip ko siya, bibilhin ko na kaagad. Hindi ko siya pag-iisipan,” she said. “I had to learn that the hard way na kailangan ko palang pag-isipan nang mabuti, even the small things that I’m spending my money on.

2. Dating for fun is no fun at all.

To recall, she shared on her Instagram Stories that she learned a lot from her experience in the first 5 years of her 20s and she was also grateful for the lessons she has learned from dating.

However, she said that she wished she had spent that time with her friends instead.

Joyce shared in the podcast that she did a lot of dating for fun and made horrible decisions when she was in her early 20s, especially when it comes to dating. According to her, she wasn’t ready for good people to come into her life at that time.

3. I did invest a lot in my 20s, but I didn’t invest as much as I should have.

The content creator revealed that she bought her first property – a condominium unit in Makati – when she was 23 years old, but she wished she had bought houses and lots instead of a condo.

She added that she didn’t know any better and didn’t have anybody teaching her at that time and so she just bought a condo unit in a place that she wanted to live in at that time. According to her, she sold the unit because it’s located in the 39th floor and she’s too old to be living on that floor.

Joyce went on to share that she bought a beach lot when she was 26 years old and recently bought different house and lots for investment. However, she wished she had done that earlier on.
