Miles Ocampo: “We found out it was Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma.”
MILES OCAMPO – The “Here Comes The Groom” star recently shared the reason why she had to undergo thyroidectomy surgery.
It was during her guest appearance on “Magandang Buhay” aired last April 13 when the actress revealed that she went through a surgery and even showed the scar on her neck.
On Friday, the actress posted a series of photos on her Instagram account and also shared that she “used to be scared of hospitals” but she hasn’t been feeling well since 2022.
In the caption of her post, she shared that she experienced waking up in the middle of the night because she can’t breathe, getting tired so easily, and getting frustrated with her weight gain. She also said that she finally had the courage to have it checked.
According to her, she was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma and she had to undergo Thyroidectomy surgery in order to remove her thyroid glands.

Miles went on to thank those who has been part of her journey. She then took the opportunity to express her gratitude to her doctors, her family, her Crown Management and Eat Bulaga! family, her friends, as well as her partner Elijah Canlas or “Luiz” and his parents.
She also gave an update on her health journey and also reminded the public to be kind and to refrain from making body-shaming comments.
“A month after my operation, here I am embracing my journey and sharing it to all of you,” Miles said. “PS: with or without any health conditions, no to body shaming. Be kind. Always. Please.”
