MARK BAUTISTA – The singer-actor recently revealed that he experienced being “stereotyped” after coming out as a bisexual man in his 2018 book.
The singer-actor appeared on Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he opened up about his experience after he revealed his sexual orientation.
Mark released his book “Beyond the Mark” in 2018 where he revealed that he’s a bisexual man.
He said in an interview with the King of Talk that he found it “unfair” that he was being limited to specific acting roles after coming out as a bisexual man.
The singer-actor said that he still wants to do straight roles. However, he shared that after he released his book, many people have also offered him films to do but only BL (Boys’ Love) movies.
While his career in the music industry stayed mostly the same, he admitted to having fears about whether or not people would still want to watch him perform.
In the same interview, the theater actor opened up about him not being part of the Broadway musical “Here Lies Love”.

According to a report on GMA News Online, the singer-actor starred in the 2014 West End production of “Here Lies Love” and again with the Seattle Repertory in the United States in 2017. However, he was snubbed to make way for the original cast as the musical opens on Broadway in July.
When the news arrived that Filipino actor Jose Llana got the role in the musical, the theater actor said that he has no problem about it and he’s “super happy” for Jose.
