DINGDONG DANTES – The Kapuso Primetime King recently responded to rumors about a possible political career and also shared his thoughts about public service.
The actor-host appeared on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” – the finale episode of its first season – where he opened up about his family and also shared the way he and his wife run their household and manage their finances.
Dingdong also responded to rumors on a possible political career in the country.
The Kapuso Primetime King told the King of Talk that there was a time he considered running for office and it never did reach the decisive point because he has “high regards” for public office.
“Gusto kong aminin na may panahon that I really thought, na sana, [I could] do more for the Filipino people, over and beyond my work here in the industry,” Dingdong said.

According to him, public service is a “top-most priority” and it’s not that easy because it will require much of one’s time, energy, as well as one’s love and passion. He added that public service “takes much sacrifice”.
Dingdong then told Boy Abunda that he’s busy with multiple roles he needs to fulfill at the moment.
According to him, he wants to be the best father to his kids, be the best husband to his wife, be a good son, and be a responsible member of the showbiz industry while he’s striving to be a good citizen of the Philippines everyday. The actor believed people have own roles in society and he remain committed in doing his part.
The actor was also asked if he’s not closing his doors on politics.
“It’s not for me to say, but the circumstance,” he said.
