Guide on Pag-IBIG Loan Offer for Solar Panel Installation
PAG-IBIG – One of the loan offers of the government agency is open to fund a member’s solar panel installation.
Nowadays, more and more people are appreciating the value of having a solar panel at home or at the office. Aside from the fact that it will spare you from experiencing the impacts of brownout or, worst, a power blackout, you can save money from lower electric bills.
Power rates are based on the demand of the consumers thus the authorities expect that these will go higher in the next three (3) years. Many people wants to prepare for it by installing solar panels at their homes as early as now. For members of the Pag-IBIG Fund, they may apply to the government agency for a loan that could fund their solar panel installation.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pag-IBIG Fund confirmed that it allows their members to borrow an amount for solar panel installation under the Home Improvement Loan. In fact, you can get premiums for green features or projects like the solar panel installation.
There is a 3% premium if you wish to install a solar panel. For example, if the appraised value of your property is P1 million, you may get P1,030,000.00 as per Attorney Kalin Franco-Garcia, the spokesperson of Pag-IBIG Fund.
The loan offer is open for members who have at least 24 months savings in the government agency and has no foreclosed, cancelled, or any loan in bad record.
