According to her, the Tokyo Marathon was special for her as she’s able to help the Filipino children with her cause.
“Every single kilometer was worth it, knowing I was running to help Filipino children heal and recover through the funds WE (yes, this includes every single one of you that donated) raised together,” Anne said. “Running with a purpose bigger than just receiving a medal kept me fueled. Which probably, unintentionally, led me to PR. Kilig.”
The actress-host also shared that she hit her personal record, clocking in at 4 hours 50 minutes and 37 seconds throughout the race.
Anne Curtis went on to reveal that the donations won’t end after the Tokyo Marathon as she would still be accepting donations for the next 30 days. Also, she pledged that she would match the final amount of donations that they would be receiving from the donors.
She then expressed her gratitude to her coach, the UNICEF PH team, her family who traveled with her in Japan, and those who cheered her on during the race.
