The Philippines is fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic for more than two years now. A lot of lives were lost due to coronavirus and it has greatly affected the way things are going on in the country.
Previously, strict restrictions were implemented to fight the spread of COVID-19. Several businesses had to stop their operation for weeks in accordance with the protocols. Unfortunately, many businesses were not able to pull through and had to permanently close.
The economy of the Philippines was also greatly affected by the pandemic. The people had to adapt to the new normal setting with the students being under blended learning instead of face-to-face class instructions.
Currently, most parts of the Philippines are under Alert Level 1, the loosest restriction, following the low daily cases of COVID-19 recorded in the past months. However, recently, an increase in the cases was noted again.
