Kapuso stars Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards are set to topbill the Philippine adaptation of South Korean drama hit “Start-Up”.
GMA Network recently announced that it will be doing the Philippine adaptation of South Korean drama hit “Start Up”. According to a report on GMA News, Bea and Alden will topbill the drama series, their first highly-anticipated pairing.
“Start-Up” is a South Korean drama series about young entrepreneurs dreaming and working to hit it big and become successful. The drama series became a hit in 2020 when viewers and netizens started rooting for Team Do San and Team Good Boy.

Alden told Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” that this was his first South Korean drama adaptation project. According to him, it feels good to be given the opportunity to be able to do something that the audience is looking for.
“Napanood ko rin po siya and excited ako. This is my first K-drama adaptation project,” Alden said. “Parang ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na mabigyan ng opportunity to be able to do something na hinahanap ng audience.“
Bea, for her part, said that the project had already been pitched to her even before she signed with GMA. She also said that the adaptation project is one of the reasons why she decided to become a Kapuso star.
“Nakakatuwa kasi even before I signed with GMA, my first ever meeting with the bosses ito na ‘yung na-pitch sa akin,” Bea said. “This is one of the reasons why I decided to become a Kapuso. So now that finally, it is happening, I’m very, very excited.“
The characters and the rest of the cast have not been revealed yet as of this writing.

Meanwhile, “Start-Up” producer CJ ENM Co., Ltd. said in a statement that they are willing to acively carry out more adaptations of dramas with GMA Network in the future for the supporters in Philippines.
“GMA has always been a great partner, and it is great to see them remaking one of my favorite series in the Philippines,” CJ ENM Co., Ltd. said in a statement.
