SSS asked its pensioners to comply with ACOP on or before March 31, 2022.
SSS — The Social Security System has reminded its pensioners of the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners’ Program (ACOP) deadline this March.
SSS president and chief executive officer Aurora C. Ignacio said in a statement on Friday that pensioners who haven’t yet complied with the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners’ Program for the calendar year 2021 are required to do so on or before March 31, 2022.
Implemented in 2004, the ACOP is a measure used by the state-run pension fund in order to ensure the continuous payment of benefits to the rightful pensioners in accordance with the Social Security Law.
On the other hand, retirement pensioners residing in the country are no longer required to do the ACOP effective October 30, 2017, but they’re subject to other verification processes, if applicable.

To recall, the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners’ Program was suspended from March 2020 until September 2021 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Philippines.
“For over one and a half years, we have continuously granted our pensioners their respective pensions without the corresponding reporting under the ACOP since they are high-risk individuals to the virus,” Igancio said.
Ignacio also said they have resumed the implementation of the said program last October 1, 2021.
To make up for the suspension period, Ignacio said that they have given all covered pensioners a period of 6 months or until March 31, 2022, to submit their compliance — except those pensioners who already complied for calendar year 2021.
The Social Security System also said that pensioners who failed to comply will not be able to receive their pensions temporarily starting with their May 2022 pensions.
Meanwhile, the state-run pension fund said that it will follow the usual schedule of compliance with ACOP starting April 1, 2022.
Based on a report on GMA News Online, SSS pensioners may also do early compliance wherein they submit their requirements 6 months ahead of their schedule.
Pensioners may submit their documents through mail or courier, email, or drop box at the nearest SSS branch. Also, pensioners may send a written request to the state-run pension fund for home visit, or request for appointment for video conference.
