“The Mango Bride” revolves around the lives of two Filipino women —Beverly and Amparo — who discover hidden truths as their stories unfold after migrating to California.
This new project comes almost a year after the actress had to let go of an all-Filipino cast Hollywood movie produced by Steven Spielberg due to a “false positive” COVID-19 test result.
The film adaptation of the said novel will be directed by Filipino-Canadian Martin Edralin and will be executive produced by Michael Kaleda, Anna Liza Recto, Ryo Ebe, Kevin Balhetchet, and Abhi Rastogi.
