JASON ABALOS — The Kapuso star pursued his master’s degree in public administration while juggling his career in showbiz.
On Wednesday, GMA Network’s “24 Oras” reported that the Kapuso actor was enrolled at the Philippine Christian University (PCU) taking master’s degree in public administration.
The Kapuso actor also planned to further his studies so that he can dabble into academia in the future.
According to the actor, he can pursue his doctorate degree after taking master’s degree, adding that it’s almost been 20 years since he last entered the university.
“I can pursue my doctorate degree after so I can teach. I remembered it’s almost been 20 years since I last entered university,” Jason said in a mix of English and Filipino.

Ronnie Liang and Giselle Töngi have also pursued their master’s degree while in showbiz.
Jason played Gabriel in the ongoing Kapuso drama series “Las Hermanas” starring Faith Da Silva, Yasmien Kurdi, Albert Martinez, and Thea Tolentino, among others.
Recently, the actor renewed his management contract with GMA Artist Center and revealed that one of his dreams was to star in a fantasy TV series.
“Fantaserye, ‘yun talaga ‘yung gusto kong gawin sa GMA kasi alam mo talaga ang GMA, sobrang galing gumawa ng fantaserye,” Jason said during the interview with GMA media after his contract renewal.
Aside from this, the actor also joined other celebrities in venturing into politics as he officially filed his certificate of candidacy for Nueva Ecija board member in the 2022 elections.
