Raffy Tulfo said that there’s no need for Bongbong Marcos to apologize.
RAFFY TULFO — A senatorial aspirant on Monday said that there’s no need for presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to apologize after the Marcos family was accused of massive corruption while in power.
Tulfo said in an interview on ANC that issues of ill-gotten wealth against the Marcos family should be left up to the courts, adding that it would be unfair for him to dictate to Bongbong Marcos to apologize for the issues hurled against the Marcos family.
ABS-CBN News reported that the Marcos family amassed an estimated USD 5-10 billion (more than Php 500 billion) in “ill-gotten wealth” based on the World Bank – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s Stolen Asset Recovery report.
Based on a report, the Presidential Commission on Good Government had recovered a total of PHP 170 billion in the past 30 years.
“Kasalanan nung tatay, bakit magiging kasalanan ng anak? Why would he apologize for something that he did not do, na ang may kagagawan ay tatay niya? Opinyon ko yan,” Tulfo said. “Give the other relative na walang kinalaman sa kaso a chance na para maprove ang sarili niya.”

According to him, he could relate to Bongbong’s situation, considering that he had been consistently dragged in the issues involving his siblings.

Tulfo also confirmed in an interview that he’s in talks with the Marcos camp to be included in the latter’s senatorial slate as a guest candidate, but he said that he’s still hammering out some issues.
