Bettinna Carlos recently shared that she and her family were affected by the electricity and water outage because of typhoon “Maring”.
Sharing photos on her Instagram account, she said that they lost electricity and water supply for more than a day.
According to her, they have to manually pump the “poso” for water to cook and wash the dishes, to fan themselves to sleep, and to make use of whatever source of light they had for reading and cooking.
Bettinna also shared that she needed to cook dinner immediately after breakfast while it’s still light.
“This was an answered prayer actually na maranasan ni Gummy ang brownout,” Bettinna shared in her Instagram post. “We thank the Lord na naranasan to ng anak namin.”

According to her, she knew parents prayed that their children will go through challenges — big and small — as opportunities to train them for life so that they can be strong and can learn that not everything was easy and always convenient.
She also thanked their friends who offered them to be able to fully charge their lights and laptops that they used at home, work, and study.
“Walang karapatang sumimangot, uminda, o magreklamo. Thank you Lord for the blessings of this brownout. Thank you that we can give thanks in all things. May You provide as well for others in more challenging situations,” Bettinna said.
