Foreign vloggers selling products in the Philippines will be deported, according to the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
On Tuesday, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) warned that foreign vloggers selling products in the Philippines will be deported.
The Bureau of Immigration recently warned foreign vloggers that they could be deported if they used their platforms to promote or sell products while in the Philippines.
According to Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, selling products, accepting local endorsements, and engaging in activities for profit while holding a temporary visitors’ visa was a “deportable offense”.
If found guilty, Morente said that violators could face deportation and blacklisting from the Philippines.

Morente also noted that there have been multiple reports of foreign vloggers posting videos that engaged in sales or endorsements of products, which can be considered as a violation of their stay.
While vloggers can help boost tourism in the Philippines, Morente reminded them that their visas have limitations.
“Vloggers should not overstep their boundaries and perform actions only within the activities allowed in their visas,” Morente said.
The Bureau of Immigration cited the case of a social media influencer who was charged last February for doing business in the Philippines without the necessary permit or visa.
