Makati Mayor Abby Binay confirmed the viral vaccination video and said that “human error” was immediately corrected.

During a “Laging Handa” briefing on Monday, she said that it was a “human error” on the part of the volunteer nurse, adding that the incident was immediately corrected.

Mayor Binay shared that the incident recorded on a viral video happened last June 25 and was corrected the next day, June 26, when the individual in the said video went to them and showed the video.

Nakita naman po na hindi ho nga siya nabakunahan kung kaya’t binigyan siya agad ng bakuna. So we simply ask for understanding from the public. Mahigit isang taon na pong naghihirap at nagtratrabaho ang ating frontliners para ho labanan ang pandemya na ito,” Mayor Binay appealed.

Also, the mayor asked those who had been bashing the volunteer nurse to stop hurling criticisms, adding that frontliners were also humans and they may also commit mistakes.

According to Mayor Binay, some of her political rivals were very happy with what happened at the vaccination site and some of them were using the said video to discredit her and the COVID-19 vaccination program of the city.

However, she said that what some of her political rivals didn’t see was that the vaccination rollout of the whole Philippines will be affected if they destroyed the credibility of the vaccination of the city.

On the viral vaccination video circulating on social media, a woman was injected by a nurse but the nurse forgot to push the content of the syringe into her arm.
