Facebook recently appointed its first Chief Business Officer.
On Thursday, Facebook announced the appointment of Marne Levine, the vice president of global partnerships, as its first Chief Business Officer.
In a Facebook post, Marne said that she will oversee the company’s advertising business and global partnerships and will report to Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg.
With this, Marne shared her appointment news through a social media post. According to her, it’s a privilege to be leading a business that enabled social and economic change for their global partners, helping them to create their brand, to build their community, and to grow their business through the innovative solutions they offered across platforms.

“I’m grateful to Mark and Sheryl for this new opportunity and feel very fortunate to be at a company where I get to work with such a talented group of people every day,” Marne said.
Marne had over a decade-long stint with Facebook, in which she had served in different roles. She became the vice president of global public policy for Facebook from 2010 to 2014 and became Instagram’s first COO as well.
Also, Marne had served as the VP of Global Partnerships, Business and Corporate Development at Facebook.
Meanwhile, Facebook announced on Friday that it had suspended former US President Donald Trump’s account until at least January 7, 2023. According to Facebook, the company will assess the circumstances to see if Donald Trump should be allowed back on.
