In a report on ABS-CBN News, Liza was appointed as the new ambassador of Save the Children Philippines, who will campaign for children’s rights to learning, survival, protection, and meaningful participation.

The said announcement coincided with the organization’s celebration of its 40th year of lifesaving work for and with children in the Philippines.

Liza, who had been silently donating to the child rights organization and also sponsoring children in Uganda since 2016, said that officially joining Save the Children Philippines as an ambassador was a dream come true for her.

In a statement released last Thursday, Liza said that she wanted to help people in any form and in any way that she can, adding that she felt like she’ll be able to do so much more through Save the Children.

The organization’s chief executive Atty. Alberto Muyot praised Liza, who hoped to help the marginalized and most deprived children realize their full potential.

We know that with Liza’s passion and influence, she will be inspiring a lot of children, youth, and adults to prioritize children’s rights at all times and create platforms for meaningful participation of children,” Atty. Muyot said.

Last 2018, Liza participated in Save the Children’s “Lahat Dapat” campaign against malnutrition and hunger, and rallied for children’s equal and fair access to nutritious food.

Liza also supported the organization’s #SaveWithStories last 2020 which raised funds for “Project ARAL” (Access to Resources for Alternative Learning) in order to help children from low-income families and those with disabilities gain access to alternative learning modalities amid the school closures brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
