Aunt of Maja Salvador Who Fought Kidney Disease Dies of COVID-19
MAJA SALVADOR – The aunt of the TV5 actress-television host who fought a kidney disease for 20 years died of COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic has not only shaken the healthcare system of the Philippines but also took a lot of lives. This coronavirus disease was recorded in over 200 countries and territories across the globe.
Currently, the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is being strengthened again following the huge number of cases that were recorded in the past few days. New COVID-19 variants were also detected.
In line with the fight against the spread of COVID-19, everyone is highly encouraged now to stay at home if not for very essential purposes. A face mask is also a requirement when going outdoors. Some establishments require a face shield aside from a face mask upon entry.
Several celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry contracted COVID-19. There are also those who lost their loved ones to the said coronavirus disease. One of them is Kapatid actress Maja Salvador.
Maja Salvador’s aunt, a first cousin of her mother, died of COVID-19. Based on an article on Pep, she’s a fighter of a lot of health conditions as she underwent kidney transplant and she was also diagnosed of stage 4 cancer.
According the actress, her aunt is really a “survivor” and she fought her kidney disease for 20 years. She also fought against cancer and even went through an operation last December. However, with COVID-19, she did not make it and she died a few days ago.
Maja is greatly heartbroken by the passing of her aunt. Based on the article, her aunt was the one who opened her house for the actress and her family when they moved to Manila. She’s also the one who nurtured her faith.
According to Maja, her aunt was usually the one who brings her to the Church when she was a child. She had a “very difficult week” over her passing.
Next week is Holy Week and many people usually go somewhere. As for Maja, she’s cancelling whatever plans they have and she encourages everyone to just stay at home for safety and give the time for the Lord.
