Liza Soberano Uses Voice for the Poor People in PH
LIZA SOBERANO – The young Kapamilya actress raised a question about the support for the poor in the Philippines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 200 countries and territories across the globe have recorded cases of COVID-19. Declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic after its rapid spread, this coronavirus disease has taken a lot of lives already.
The pandemic has greatly affected the lives of the people. Now, everyone must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing when going outdoors. Several establishments also require a face shield apart from a face mask.
Community quarantine measures are still up in the entire PH now. Unfortunately, many businesses closed and a lot of people lost their jobs amid the crisis.
Undeniably, amid the quarantine measures and the call for the people to stay at home, many Filipinos cannot abide as they need to provide food for the family. The government previously gave poor families financial assistance under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) amid the height of the lockdowns last year.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic is still present now and the fight must continue. Several famous personalities are using their voice to speak for the poor.
On Twitter, young Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano cited that the COVID-19 in the United States is free and the people have already received two (2) shots. She also cited that COVID-19 testing is also free.
In her Tweet, Liza Soberano raised a question asking about the “support for the poor” in the Philippines. The actress further wrote that it is easy to stay at home if everyone has food on the table and the money for the payment of the bills.
