President Duterte considered military hospitals and school buildings as COVID-19 vaccination sites.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night said that military hospitals and public school buildings can be used as COVID-19 vaccination sites if the nationwide vaccination program will need more venues.
In a televised address aired on Monday night, the President said that local government officials can utilize public school buildings since schools can’t conduct face-to-face classes due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We will have to take in, they are the indispensable partner of the program, mga local officials, sila mamili sa gymnasium, kung kulang talaga then my order is utilize the public school buildings, wala pa namang klase. If there is no big coliseum or gym, then we will utilize the schools kung maaari lang pero ‘wag muna, but I don’t see anything objectionable there,” President Duterte said.
Meanwhile, the President said that vaccinations in far-flung areas can be done in military camps and police stations if there’s no suitable venue.
