1930s Filipina Using Lips For Pointing Filmed In Documentary Goes Viral
1930s FILIPINA USING LIPS FOR POINTING – A short clip from an old documentary featuring the life of Filipinos during the 1930s went viral.
The documentary itself is titled, “Manila – Castillian Memoirs 1930s”. Here, you could see a snippet of how Filipinos lived during the 1900s, three decades after their freedom from Spain.
However, netizens on social media were more impressed after seeing this beautiful Filipina doing the “lip point”. Additionally, this is among the most well-known habits of the Filipino people.
Apparently, the habit already existed way before and was passed down from generation to generation.
Meanwhile, one netizen theorized that the reason why Filipinos used their lips to point was that they always carry something in their hands. Still, this could possibly be true knowing how hard-working Filipinos are.
Here is the full video documentary:
When watching the video, you could almost hear the Filipina saying “Ayun Oh!” right before pointing. Even today, we still see this habit remaining prevalent. Clearly, this is one Filipino trait that would last for generations to come.
