Samsung announced the company’s new President and CEO for Southeast Asia and Oceania
South Korean firm Samsung Electronics officially announced the company’s new President and CEO in Southeast Asia (SEA) and Oceania.
This, as Mr. Sangho Jo was appointed as the company’s new President and CEO in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Gizguide reported that Mr. Sangho Jo was a proven Samsung leader with more than 30 years of experience across geographies and business groups.
He would steer the strategic growth directions of the company in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Southeast Asia and Oceania markets were key parts of the company’s long term growth plans as these regions were poised for rapid economic growth in the next decade revolving around building digital ambitions for industries, cities, and communities.
Mr. Sangho Jo had been previously appointed as the company’s President and CEO in Europe wherein he led the business to achieve brand favorability and sustainable commercial growth in 2020.
He also served as the company’s President in UK, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Baltic countries, and as the company’s Head of Visual Display Business in South Korea.
The said announcement came months after Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee died in Seoul, South Korea after being hospitalized for six years. He was 78 years old.
