Man From Grass Valley Grabs Giant Bear By Throat & Punches It To Rescue His Dog
MAN GRABS GIANT BEAR BY THROAT – With adrenaline pumping in his veins, a man decks a giant 350 pound bear to rescue his pet dog.
Our pets have a special place in our hearts. As such, we’d do anything to protect them. But, for Kaleb Benham, a man from Grass Valley, this also meant risking your life just to save them.
Benham’s rescue dog, “Buddy” was attacked by a bear. According to Benham, the bear was dragging buddy “by his head”. He said he initially heard a loud bear growl near his area. When he came to check things out, that’s when he saw Buddy’s life was in danger.
Based on local reports, the animal that attacked Buddy was a black bear. It dragged buddy about 75-100ft away from his house. Upon seeing his rescue dog who he adopted several years ago, Benham didn’t hesitate to run after the bear.
“Honestly, the only thing I could think of was save by baby”, said Benham. The moment he caught-up to the bear, he grabbed it by the throat and punched it in the face and eyes until he dropped his pet dog from his jaws.
Afterward, Benhan and Buddy managed to escape. However, their fight wasn’t over. Benham rushed to the vet as buddy suffered gruesome injuries due to the bear attack.
After searching for a vet, Buddy eventually landed in Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital, there, buddy went through more than three hours of emergency surgery.
Luckily, Benham’s story went viral and he and Buddy received massive support. Currently, over $2,2278 dollars have been raised to help pay for Buddy’s massive vet bills. Thankfully, Buddy is current on his way to a speedy recovery.
