Koala Sneaks Into Australian Home To Climb Family Christmas Tree
KOALA SNEAKS INTO HOME – An Australian family had a surprise Christmas visit from a very unlikely home invader – a Koala.
Usually, you’d find ornaments such as Christmas balls, stars, and lights on a Christmas tree. However, this family came home and saw a live Koala just hanging out and chilling.
According to Amanda McCormick, a resident of Coromandel Valley, southern Australia, the local Koala Rescue organization didn’t initially believe her story. She said that 1300Koalaz thought they were being pranked.
Based on an article from CNN, 1300Koalaz stated:
This evening our hotline operator took a call. At first she thought she was the victim of a prank call…
But no, a koala desperate to get in the Christmas spirit had wandered into Amanda McCormick’s house and decided it wanted to be the fairy on the Christmas tree.
Still, 1300Koalaz co-founder Dee Hearne-Hellon said that cases of Koalas wandering into homes isn’t unheard of. Still, she emphasized that this incident doesn’t happen everyday.
Luckily, the Koala, which was identified as a healthy juvenile female was released in front of the house. Fortunately, the area McCormick lived was a lovely place for Koalas to “thrive amongst us”.
Meanwhile, 1300Koalaz reminded the public that although Koalas are cute, they still have a tendency to attack when aggravated. Additionally, they also have shard teeth and very long claws.
