PAF had transported several relief items to Albay and Catanduanes
Personnel from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Tuesday had transported several relief items to Virac in Catanduanes and Legazpi City in Albay in order to help those mostly-affected by Super Typhoon Rolly.
The Philippine Air Force’s C-130 aircraft had transported one generator set, a communication van, 10 tents, 15 cap bed, 150 pieces of bottled water, and four boxes of personal protective equipment (PPE) for the most affected areas in Region V.
Meanwhile, the C-295 aircraft transported a total of 235 boxes of food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to affected residents in Virac town.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque had said that the province of Catanduanes was completely isolated following the onslaught of typhoon “Rolly”.
At present, Roque said that Catanduanes was dependent on airlifted assistance and was only contacted using satellite telephones from the Office of Civil Defense.
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara said that construction materials and food packs were needed as about 6,000 residents were left homeless by “Rolly”.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) had recommended symptoms screening and monitoring for all evacuees in typhoon-affected areas before going back to their communities instead of COVID-19 testing.
