Facebook began public testing of Dark Mode on iOS to “wider percentage of users”
Facebook started a public testing of its Dark Mode support on iOS devices five months after the company confirmed its plans to roll out the said feature.
It was last April when 9to5Mac reported that Facebook was in the process of designing and developing its Dark Mode support on iOS devices, adding that the company confirmed its plans and revealed the new design to a “very small percentage of users” in June.
In collaboration with Jane Manchun Wong, Facebook had confirmed that the company was now publicly testing its Dark Mode support on iOS devices.

As per the report, this didn’t necessarily mean that the said feature was available to everyone, but it did signal that it’s coming to a wider percentage of the user base now.

Here’s a tutorial on how to check to see if the said feature was available though your Facebook account and how to enable Dark Mode on your iOS device:
First, you need to make sure that you have the latest version of Facebook app from the App Store. Next, open the Facebook app and then tap the tree lines in the bottom-right of the navigation bar.
After that, you need to tap “Settings & Privacy”, then look for a new “Dark Mode” option, and then choose between On, Off, or System.
Under the “System” option, Facebook would adjust its appearance based on your iOS device settings. This was the best option if you wanted the Facebook app to adhere to the Dark Mode schedule you used on your iPhone.
Again, Facebook had not yet released the Dark Mode support on iOS to everyone, but it was publicly testing the said feature with a wider percentage of the Facebook user base.
Meanwhile, Matt Navarra previously posted screen-captured photos on his Twitter account showing the Dark Mode feature of Facebook on iOS 14.
