OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei left the company — reports
Tech sites reported that OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had left the company and no longer appeared in the organizational chart of OnePlus.
In a report on Android Central, two sources who were familiar with the situation said that Carl had left OnePlus in the recent weeks and no longer appeared in the most recent organizational chart of OnePlus.
Carl co-founded OnePlus with Chief Executive Officer Pete Lau in December 2013. Pete and Carl had previously worked together at Oppo and grew OnePlus into one of the most-recognized smartphone brands.
Recently, Carl had headed up the OnePlus Nord brand that was focused on more affordable smartphones.

In a report on 9to5Google, a Reddit user posted what appear to be “internal documents” from OnePlus that explained a leadership change.
As seen in the “internal documents” obtained by a Reddit user, Emily Dai — lead of OnePlus operations in India – was apparently taking over the Nord lineup globally.
9to5Google also reported that Carl was very much in charge of the lineup during OnePlus’ development and the company’s documentary about creating OnePlus Nord focused almost as heavily on Carl as it did on OnePlus.

As per the report, it was unclear whether Carl left the company by his choice or if he was fired, but a Reddit user said that he “hears sacked”.
In a report on TechCrunch, Carl wasn’t joining Samsung but had clarity on what he wished to do next.
TechCrunch also reported that Carl left the company in order for him to start his own venture, though didn’t specified whether it was a mobile-related or tech-related venture.
