Bohol Governor Arthur Yap took to social media as he announced that he and his staff were currently on self-imposed isolation.
This, after they were exposed to a patient who had tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In his official Facebook page, Yap announced on Wednesday night that based on the medical protocols that they followed in Bohol, he and his staff volunteered to isolate themselves and they would also undergo an RT-PCR test when they’re allowed by their doctors.
Yap also said that he had an interaction with one of the representatives of the Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) 2020 who had tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Manila.

In addition, Yap advised the people he met two days ago to undergo isolation as well.
However, Yap clarified that he had no symptoms of COVID-19 and was in good shape. Moreover, Yap said that it’s part of the challenges he had to face as the father of the province.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health recorded a total of 314,079 COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of this writing.
