Ombudsman Samuel Martires had issued a six-month suspension against former and incumbent officials of PhilHealth
Ombudsman Samuel Martires had issued a six-month preventive suspension against 13 officials — former and incumbent — of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Based on the suspension orders obtained by GMA News Online, the two suspension orders were administered last August 18, 2020.
The incumbent officials of PhilHealth ordered suspended were Dennis Mas, Shirley Domingo, Rodolfo del Rosario, Jr., Leila Tuazon, and Clementine Bautista.
On the other hand, the former officials of PhilHealth slapped a suspension include Angelito Grande, Celestina Ma. Jude dela Serna, Eugenio Donatos II, Israel Paragas, Lawrence Mijares, Raul Dominic Badilla, Roy Ferrer, and Ruben Basa.
However, GMA News reported that it was unclear which cases prompted the issuance of suspension orders, adding that the Senate, House of Representatives, and the task force that was formed by Malacañang were currently looking into allegations of corruption within the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.
