Follower of Pastor Quiboloy had pleaded guilty to a “lesser charge” of making a false statement.
A follower of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy had pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of making a false statement after two years of hearings.
This, as Felina Salinas, the manager of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Church, had entered into a deal with prosecutors. The said deal will see Salinas “cleared” of cash smuggling charges, according to a report on ABS-CBN News.
Salinas was arrested last March 2018 after failing to report over USD 300,000 in cash that was inside a suitcase aboard a private jet that was bound for the Philippines a month prior.
After conducting an investigation, it was then revealed that the said suitcase belonged to Kingdom of Jesus Christ Church Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, adding that Pastor Quiboloy told his driver not to place his suitcase on the plane.
Moreover, Pastor Quiboloy had attended a concert on the said island and was on his way back to Manila, Philippines.
Felina Salinas then admitted that she lied when she claimed that the suitcase was owned by her just because she had an attempt to protect Pastor Quiboloy. According to the indictment, Salinas was also charged with accessory over helping a person with the initials “A” and “Q” avoid arrest and prosecution.
However, Pastor Quiboloy was never charged for the said incident, as per the report.
