The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 738 new cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines.
This, as the Department of Health reported 560 “fresh” cases and 178 “late” cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 34,803 as of 4:00 p.m. of June 27, 2020.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 249 additional recoveries and 12 new fatalities due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,430 and total fatalities to 1,236.
For “fresh” cases, 212 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 184 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 164 came from different areas in the Philippines. And for the “late” cases, on the other hand, 85 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 23 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 70 were from different areas in the Philippines.
According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Saturday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.
