Birchbox officially ended its partnership with the US-based skincare company LAFACE after its chief executive officer did this to a Filipino man.
This, as Birchbox released a statement announcing that the company had cut ties with LAFACE.
In its statement posted on Twitter, Birchbox thanked its community for “speaking up”, “speaking out”, and bringing the racist actions of LAFACE CEO Lisa Alexander to their attention, adding that there’s no space for racism at their company.
In addition, Birchbox said that the company condemned the actions of LAFACE CEO Lisa Alexander.

Moreover, Birchbox said that the company hadn’t worked with LAFACE for several years and had cut ties with LAFACE with them as a result of Lisa Alexander’s actions. The company also removed LAFACE’s products from its website and will not be working with LAFACE “again in the future”.

Birchbox’s statement came after James Juanillo, a Filipino man in the United States stenciling “Black Lives Matter” on his own property, was reported to the cops by Lisa Alexander.
In a report by KPIX5 of CBS News, the official website of LAFACE was “no longer up and running”.
