Pinay Nurse in Quezon City Tested Positive for COVID-19
PINAY NURSE – A Filipina nurse in Quezon City shared her experience after contracting COVID-19.
Coronavirus or COVID-19 has infected over 3.5 million people across the globe. This pandemic which is eyed to be a long-term fight according to the World Health Organization (WHO) has claimed over 275,000 lives in different countries.
There are over 200 countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus. One of these nations is the Philippines.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 10,463 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the country. Out of these total number of cases, 696 patients died while 1,734 made their way to recovery.
Several frontliners including doctors and nurses were infected by COVID-19 amid the fight against the disease. One of them is a Pinay nurse in Quezon City.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the said Filipina nurse hidden behind the name “Marie” is about to get married. She is set to officially tie the knot with her partner this December.
The Pinay nurse contracted COVID-19. She admitted that it is very hard. She was placed in Hope 1 Facility in Quezon City while she was battling against coronavirus.
“Ang takot nandoon talaga e, hindi siya mawala-wala kahit labanan mo siya. But then hopeful na lang talaga na there is always a reason kung bakit ka kailangan matagal mag-antay,” she said based on the report.
Marie stressed that she cling to her faith in God when she almost lost hope because of her disease. She stressed that she initially thought she’s strong but the journey really shakened her.
The nurse has now recovered from COVID-19. She is one of the many frontliners who risked their lives to help the country heal from the pandemic.
