Old Woman w/ Dog & Heavy Baggage Denied of Ride So She Walked For 2 Weeks
OLD WOMAN – A woman walked for two (2) weeks after she was denied of ride because of her dog and her baggage.
Now that the community quarantines are up in all areas in the Philippines, catching a ride requires a double effort. It is true most especially during the rush hours.
Several places in the country including Metro Manila, Cebu City, and Laguna province are under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) now due to the coronavirus crisis. The rest of the country are under a General Community Quarantine.
In areas under the GCQ, mass transportation is allowed by with a reduced capacity. Also, some cities and municipalities implement coding to limit the vehicles on the road and prevent traffic.
Sadly, in Negros Occidental province, an old woman was denied of ride because of her dog and her baggage. Based on a post, she has a lot of stuff and was from Binalbagan City going to Saravia.
The woman had no choice but to walk based on the post of a certain April Rose Ubaldo on Facebook. Together with her was her dog named Rex.
According to the netizen, the old woman who was on her second week of walking was given food and money by the officers at the checkpoint. The netizen and her company asked her to have some dinner while they were looking for ways to get her home.
The people with good hearts drove the woman home and endorsed her to the barangay officials. Here’s the Facebook post:
