Here’s a reaction of Angel Locsin about the ABS-CBN shutdown issue.
Kapamilya star Angel Locsin on Monday evening shared her personal opinion on social media about the ABS-CBN shutdown issue.
This, after her fellow Kapamilya artists Coco Martin and Kim Chiu previously aired their sentiments about the said issue. Angel posted an 8-minute video on her official Facebook page, which garnered over 1.3 million views as of this writing.
“Kung meron po, tatahimik na ako.”
In her opening statement, Angel was concerned about the employees who were affected by the ABS-CBN shutdown issue.
She said that she won’t talk about the unemployment issue if the government promised to provide jobs to affected employees who turned unemployed because of the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) against the broadcast network.
“Hindi ito laban against the government”
She clarified that she’s not putting up a fight against the government. Instead, she was seeking for the right to be heard in the right platform. Angel believed that the public must help each other in these trying times.
Also, Angel said that she was calling for the extension of ABS-CBN’s franchise until the Congress decided to act on it, adding that she was seeking for the same treatment as granting a franchise extension to other broadcast networks with expired franchise.
“How do you expect us to heal as one kung kayo mismo ang susugat sa’min?”
Referring to Solicitor General Jose Calida, Angel said that it’s not his degree, knowledge, position, or achievement will be remembered by the people. Instead, she added, the public will be remembered one day that SolGen Calida became the person who was responsible for shutting ABS-CBN down amid the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
Also, Angel was reaching out to Jobert Sucaldito and Journalie Payonan, former employees of ABS-CBN, to discuss their concerns with the management.

Its very simple its like driving a car without a license or ecpired license. Dont blame everything to the government may lapses din ang abs cbn so dapat may gnawa din ang abs para sa mga employees nila. Plan a plan b etc.
