GMA reporter Howie Severino is a COVID-19 survivor
GMA reporter Howie Severino recently revealed that he is COVID-19 Patient 2828 and fortunately he survived the deadly virus.
There has been several popular personalities who revealed their COVID-19 stories. Some are celebrities while some are in the world of politics. Just recently, Severino, who is from the broadcast industry revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
The broadcast journalist shared that his situation was really difficult for him and his family. He said that there were points when he would doubt if he can carry on.
Despite this trying time, Severino said that the support from his family and friends is a major factor in his recovery. Through technology, he was able to keep in tough with his loved ones.
In a featured article in GMA News Online he said, “After nine days in the hospital, a bout of pneumonia and a major scare, I think I can now be called a COVID-19 survivor.”
The GMA reporter also shared that he is lucky that he can go home after he was cleared. However, his fellow patient in the hospital “can’t go home because his condo building won’t let him move back, despite already testing negative for the virus.”
He elaborated on the “painful” experiences that he had during his treatment in the hospital. Severino also said that through sharing his experience, he expects that the public would “understand it, lessen the fear, and create compassion for those who survived COVID-19.”
In the article, the broadcast journalist also shared a detailed list of “few takeaways” that people should know about COVDID-19 and the people who survived the virus.
