Update on the Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines
CORONAVIRUS CASES IN THE PHILIPPINES – The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 106 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
For several weeks now, the cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines are increasing. According to the Department of Health (DOH), more cases may be recorded as more testings are being done now.
The COVID-19, a pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization (WHO), has affected several countries. First recorded in China where it infected over 81,000 people, the said disease made an outbreak in several nations prompting lockdowns.
In PH, the entire Luzon now and several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao are under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). The movements of the people are limited to curb the spread of the disease.
The ECQ in Luzon will supposedly end this week. However, the coronavirus cases are still increasing and more testings have to be done thus President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared for its extension up to April 30.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH), gave an update on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines. The health department said that 106 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded bringing the total to 3,870.
According to the health department, 12 coronavirus patients recovered from the disease and there is now a total of 96 recoveries nationwide. The death toll is at 182 after five (5) patients expired from the disease.
