NCRPO encouraged parents to keep their children out of public places amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) encouraged parents to keep their children out of public places in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In a statement, Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas, the chief of NCRPO, said that minors who were unsupervised “will be cautioned by the police officers to go back home,” thus, he encouraged parents to monitor their children by letting them stay at their houses and “keep them away from places like Internet cafes, markets, and malls.”
Sinas added that all chiefs of police in Metro Manila have been advised to conduct “Oplan Bandillo” for community awareness and information dissemination as well as coordinate with inter-agencies, stakeholders, and barangays in implementing the said order.
This, after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered to suspend classes in all levels in the National Capital Region from Tuesday to Saturday.
